In 2019, I started working with Lenny & Larry’s as their go-to animator for social media campaigns. Over time, the relationship grew into something much bigger. As they saw the full range of what I could bring to the table, the work expanded into mascot packaging illustrations, character-driven animation campaigns, concepting and storyboarding for video campaigns, and eventually leading entire hybrid animation and live-action commercial productions.

With every project, the goal stayed the same: build a visual language that felt funny, energetic, culturally aware, and unmistakably Lenny & Larry’s. Everything needed to feel crafted, connected, and like it came from the same slightly weird, playful world.

Vibrance
Campaign

Shot on location along the Southern California coast, this campaign fuses tactile live action moments with expressive hand-drawn animation to create a vibrant, kinetic brand world. The result is a playful yet elevated visual language designed to feel both immediate and iconic.

Lenny and Larry Take the Beach

This concept leaned on tightly planned visual storytelling to land the brand’s signature humor and timing. I carried the piece through the full post process — edit, animation, compositing, and final finish — to deliver a hand-crafted result on an accelerated timeline.

Lenny & Larry Hit the Skate Park

Built as a high-energy, character-driven vignette, the spot blended kinetic live action with expressive mascot animation. The visual beats were shaped early, then carried through editing, embedded animation, and final polish for a campaign that felt dynamic and culture-aware.

Lenny & Larry Help With Some MASSIVE Waves

Built around an escalating visual gag, this concept leaned into scale and spectacle without losing its playful design-forward sensibility. I shaped the storytelling rhythm in development and executed the full post pipeline from animation and compositing through final finishing.

Lenny & Larry Go to the Barber

This character-centric comedy spot explored timing, performance, and the visual contrast between live-action environments and animated mascots. I supported the narrative beats and led the full post-production process to keep the humor crisp and the graphic storytelling clean.

Given an open brief, I developed a nostalgic concept that reimagined the Super Bowl inside a handcrafted 8-bit world. Built through frame-by-frame pixel illustration and animation, and guided by intentional Nintendo-era limitations, the piece carried real period-specific charm while still landing as a fresh brand moment.

To celebrate the brand’s birthday, I created a whimsical animated world inspired by classic pop-up books — a stage where mascots, products, and visual gags could unfold with handcrafted charm. The result was a joyful piece that balanced humor, design precision, and bold brand personality.

Since 2019, I have created a steady stream of social animations and campaign content for Lenny & Larry’s — blending humor, character-driven motion, and bold graphic storytelling to keep the brand active, playful, and culturally relevant across digital platforms.

Mascots

The mascot work began in 2021, when Lenny & Larry’s brought me in to create illustrated characters for select campaign spots. What started as a series of playful one-off performances quickly proved its value as a storytelling device. By 2023, I became the lead creative partner for all mascot-driven illustration and animation — shaping a cohesive character language across packaging, social campaigns, and brand activations through spring 2025.
