League Explainer
There’s something deeply satisfying about working inside constraints that actually make you more creative. This explainer for Professional Bull Riders Team Series asked me to inhabit the existing world of the graphics package built by Two Fresh — decoding the texture philosophy, matching the editing cadence, and building within the motion toolkit — and then making something that still felt completely alive inside it. I storyboarded, illustrated, animated, touched some 3D, and cut the final conform. The western aesthetic was especially satisfying to work with. Exactly my kind of brief.
Behind the
Dust
Before the sequence locked, the tone had to feel earned. These early stills and boards show the texture-first thinking behind the piece: how the western references, pacing, and graphic language were carried forward into something that felt rugged, modern, and fully inside the larger package.
Boarded.
Branded.
Storyboards were the backbone here. They let me stay faithful to the existing world Two Fresh had established while also finding places to push the motion, the humor, and the transitions. This was very much a process of fitting into a system without losing the spark.
Motion
Test
Even quick tests carried a lot of weight on this one. This walk cycle reference helped stress-test character energy and timing inside the broader edit rhythm before everything got folded into the final conform.
Final
Rounds
Once everything clicked, the piece became a matter of cadence and finish. These cutdowns show the final animation language at work — textured, punchy, and built to sit naturally inside the Team Series world while still carrying its own momentum.
