Maldraxxus is a realm of necromancy, bone architecture, and endless war. Not exactly lo-fi territory, which is exactly what made this fun. Brought in to rig and animate the character performance in After Effects using Duik, the whole job was restraint: small loops, weighted holds, just enough life to make the illustration feel like it's breathing. The goal was to make the rig disappear, using cel timing and deliberate holds to give the animation the texture of something drawn frame by frame rather than keyframed on a curve. The WoW community agreed. Millions of views, and a genuinely cozy energy for one of the game's darkest zones.
